Canonteign House, Nr Exeter, Devon

Steeped in local history, and once home to Lord Exmouth, Canonteign House is one of the most romantic wedding venues in Devon and the perfect venue for intimate ceremonies or a grander affair. Licensed for civil weddings, wedding ceremonies and wedding receptions the Estate can accommodate parties of 10 to 250+ and offers some of the most spectacular backdrops for your wedding day photographs. The Fern Room, overlooking the landscaped gardens and fountains is an idyllic setting for a champagne and canapes reception on the terrace, with spectacular views across Devon and Dartmoor, and our marquee area overlooking the lakes and waterfalls makes a delightful venue for your wedding breakfast or wedding reception. Hatswell Meadows, Tiverton, Devon

Heddon Hall, Barnstaple, Devon

Lewtrenchard Manor, Okehampton, Devon
A Jacobean Manor tucked away in its own secret valley. Hidden away in a wooded hollow just beneath the wild tors of Dartmoor, Lewtrenchard is a house virtually untouched by time. The original manor was mentioned in the Domesday Book, but today’s impressive Jacobean dwelling, set in its own shrub filled gardens and surrounded by peaceful parkland, dates from the early 1600’s. Extending over several acres, the glorious gardens feature streams and ponds, fountains and statuary, sunken lawns and a profusion of shrubs, plus a huge rustic dovecote and a recently restored walled vegetable garden, where the chefs often gather fresh produce for their menus. Lewtrenchard has four beautiful rooms licensed to hold civil ceremonies in along with several stunning dining areas to hold the wedding breakfast and evening party. For the wedding breakfast we can cater for up to 65 guests for a sit down meal within the Manor and upto 125 in a marquee within our grounds. For smaller groups we can offer a ceremony followed bya day reception and for larger parties the hotel can be taken over exclusively for the day. Muddifords Court, Cullompton, Devon
Muddifords Court is a glittering country estate offering exclusive private use of the whole Estate as a wedding venue. The Estate has been beautifully restored, along with the Georgian house worthy of a film set which can be enjoyed solely for you and your guests enjoyment for a number of nights tailored to your needs. The house is licensed for civil ceremony/partnership marriages. Muddifords Court can be taken over by yourselves totally un staffed or a higher level of service can be contracted in from our highly recommended team, tailoring your entire stay, to exactly your desires! The bride and groom have the flexibility to roam the 14 acres of lush green gardens and pasture land either side of the 150-yard tree lined drive as their own in a lakeside setting over a number of nights during their stay, as Lord and Lady of the manor. To sit by the huge roaring carved stone fireplaces in the great hall and library with a port in hand to relax and unwind reflecting on the activities of the day gone by. The flagstone floors and snug rooms with inglenook fireplaces, bread ovens, cobbled well room offer cosy family atmosphere, with a glass of mulled wine you couldn't be in more relaxing surroundings. The seven huge bedrooms, most with bathrooms have solid oak planked floors and offer an enchanting stay to the guests. Muddifords owns its own cobbled square courtyard, a real timeless piece of old England which is almost as exciting as the house itself, and is also licensed for civil ceremony/patnerships. The courtyard accommodates its own cider house with working apple press and apple loft (A great location for large dinning parties, or a themed after party), linhay, threshing barn, and even 5 stables, where guests are welcome to bring with them their own horses or hire one in for their stay to enjoy the glorious countryside of the west country on horse back.
