Situated halfway between Salisbury and Southampton on the Northern edge of the New Forest National Park, the Hamptworth Estate provides the perfect location for a country wedding and yet is very accessible to both major cities. In the middle of this privately owned 3,000 acre estate sits Hamptworth Lodge a Jacobean style manor house surrounded by stunning gardens and parkland. Inside, the house exudes a warmth and friendliness rarely found in homes of this size. Three of the rooms are licensed for civil ceremonies, The Great Hall for 120 guests, the dining room for 50 guests and the Drawing Room for ten. The Great Hall is spectacular in design and boasts a vaulted beamed ceiling, exceptional furniture collection and a very impressive Willis organ, the twin of that in Salisbury cathedral. 100 guests can be seated for a wedding breakfast in the Great Hall and dancing can take place in the dining room so avoiding the need for a marquee. For those considering a summer wedding, the Summer House in the garden is also licensed for civil ceremonies, with the ceremony taking place in the open fronted structure and guests seated along the terrace
